After
being accepted as a student at Open University Malaysia, I commenced my
studies in the May 2023 semester. Initially, I was apprehensive about
balancing my workload and frequent outstation commitments. During this
semester, I enrolled in just two subjects: HMID5003 PRINCIPLES AND
PRACTICES OF INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN and HMLT5203 LEARNING DESIGN AND
TECHNOLOGY. Prior to the start of the May 2023 semester, my Learning
Centre in Kuching hosted numerous orientation sessions for new students,
and I was fortunate to attend one at the Kuching Learning Centre. The
Director of the Learning Centre was incredibly welcoming.
The
May 2023 semester presented challenges as I juggled my
responsibilities. However, Open University Malaysia (OUM) impressed me
with its flexibility, particularly in the MIDT programme, where students
have the option to participate in eTutorial sessions. Those unable to
attend have access to the session recordings on myInspire, which I found
to be a valuable learning resource. As I mentioned previously, active
engagement in the Forum, addressing queries from lecturers and peers,
and timely submission of assignments are crucial. *If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to leave a message below.
